Syringe Driver Competency Programme - now online
If you are a registered or enrolled nurse within the Southland/Wakatipu region you can now enrol to complete the Hospice New Zealand endorsed Syringe Driver Competency Programme online.
There are three parts to this programme:
- Online – theory
- Online – medication calculation
- Practical competency workshop
On successfully completing all three sections you will receive your certificate. The online components of the programme are free of charge, and the practical session has a cost of $10 to cover administration.

To register for a username and password for the the online programme use the link below.
Once you have successfully passed your online assessments (theory and calculations) you can enrol for the practical competency workshop which are held at Hospice Southland’s offices on the third Thursday of each month from 11am to 12pm.
